Dear Patrice,
I am so sorry I didn't write to you during the summer. It's just that I never had any time, because I spent the whole vacations at an adventure camp in the mountains. It was awesome!
There were lots of activities that we could do. We often went hiking in the mountains and whitewater rafting along the river. I have always been really scared of heights, so I didn't want to try rock climbing at first, but the camp counselors encouraged me and by the end I loved it. I also went horseback riding for the first time. We could take art classes too if we wanted. I took a few photography classes but then I dropped my camera in the river, so after that I did pottery and glass-blowing.
I really missed my family and sleeping in a comfortable bed, but I got used to sleeping in a bunk bed or a tent, and I had way more adventures than I would have had at home. Another good thing was that there were kids from all over the world at the camp, and I met some really interesting people from Europe and Asia.
